Fire Risk Assessment
Are you working within the law?
The law changed in October 2006, making fire safety the sole responsibility of the employer.
Enforcement of the new rules will be carried out by the local Fire and Rescue Service Authority who can carry out regular inspections of any premises.
Are you affected by these changes?
Are you responsible for a business premises?
- Are you an employer?
- Are you a charity or voluntary organisation?
- Are you a contractor with a degree of control over any premises?
- A landlord (multi occupancy buildings)?
- Do you manage residential accommodation?
- Are you self-employed with a business premises?
If you answered yes to any of these questions then you are required to undertake
a Fire Risk Assessment.
If you employ more than 5 people on your premises then a Fire Risk Assessment MUST be carried out by a responsible and experienced person.
The assessment outcomes must be in writing and must be kept as a permanent record.
Our service will provide a written risk assessment which complies with the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005.
This will detail:
- Any fire hazards.
- Fire protection measures
- Controlling fire hazards
- Management of fire safety
- Your level of risk
- Action plans
Our consultants are all F.I.Fire.E (Fellow of the Institution of Fire Engineers) qualified, with a minimum 25 year experience in fire safety.
